The non-tyre segment comprises of a number of sub-segments like rubber auto components, printing inks, paints, plastics and conveyor belting. In the non-tyre segment, in addition to providing strength and flexibility, Carbon Black also provides the blackness of printing inks.

Carbon Black plays a pivotal role in the manufacture of tyres. Tyres are used in a variety of transport equipment e.g. passenger cars, trucks, dumpers and excavators, two wheelers, airplanes, racing cars. There are 18 standard grades of Carbon Black and many tyre customers have specifications of their own too.
